Dammit…distracted again. :-D

Oh man, this is beginning to be “my thing” – distracting myself with new projects and not working on what I should be working on. *sigh* 😉

I completed my last game about 3 weeks ago, and I think it turned out very nice, but now I am, not surprisingly, working on a new one. Although I’m itching to getting back to Psycho Pigs I just wanted to do another “small” game and preferably something christmassy…and I found one.

I’ve been working on it for a couple of weeks and all the important stuff is done. What’s left are all the small things and the gameplay…which is also very important of course, but all the hard things like player movement and pathfinding are done. Oh, and since it’s another remake and I’m currently using the original graphics so I also need new graphics for it too, but there’s still plenty of time before christmas. I hope to have it done in…ohh…about 3 weeks or so.

I’ll post more when I have something that doesn’t look like a Spectrum game. 😀

October: Finish Something Month

Isn’t it just typical? I’ve honestly had a bit of trouble motivating myself to work on my primary projects lately, and just as I was settling into a nice rhythm of doing almost nothing, some crazy curry-munching ungroomed, overly ambitious and sheepishly-looking admin decides that I should get my finger out. I take this very personally but on the other hand – how can I say no to a scary thing like that, eh? 🙂

Over at Retro Remakes Bob has decided that October is ‘Finish Something Month‘ and although the threat hasn’t been spoken out loud I’m afraid my dreams will be invaded by purple squids if I don’t comply. Scary indeed – who wants squids in their dreams.

Luckily I’ve been fooling around with a smaller project which is almost finished, so I hope to finish it sometime later this month. The original game is not exactly the best or most complex game in the world but it could really benefit from a remake as it’s pretty…shit really. Hopefully my remake will be slightly better.

I’ll announce it here when it’s done but it will probably not be downloadable from here or even carry the names ‘Sokurah’ or ‘Tardis Remakes’ but not because it’s shit but because of something else, which should be obvious once it’s out.

Homebrew Hero

I got a really nice mentioning in the latest issue of Retro Gamer Magazine (issue 67).
I was interviewed for the “Homebrew Heroes” section, so if you’re interrested in reading a bit about me you should seek out that issue.

Perhaps I should update you people a little on what I’m doing while I’m here.

I get a lot of messages about Psycho Pigs UXB (even when you subtract all the ones from one particular person. Hi Flash. ;)) which is taking longer that anticipated.

The thing is that I won’t put it out with a shitty AI so I have to make sure it’s good before I release it. That’s why it’s delayed. Not that I’m working on it right now – I’m busying myself with a small sideproject which should be done soon (within a month). When that is done I hope to get on with the piggies.

About that “sideproject” – I’ll announce it here, and I’ll link to it from here (I think), but I won’t be hosting it myself and there’s a pretty good reason for that, but that will be appearant once it’s done. It’s coming along nicely though – not much left.

I’ve also ordered an iPhone 3GS and I hope to be able to develop something for it (it’s on backorder from my provider though). I already have a few ideas for games but it’ll have to wait until 2010 because I’m already working on 4 games and I don’t need any more things to delay those.

Stay tuned for more news.

Now on Twitter.

It took me ages to join Facebook and now I’ve also joined Twitter. Just like with my games – I’m not quick, but I’ll get there eventually. 😀

Like most other people I will probably mostly use it for fluff, but I’m sure there will be updates about games and programming. Honestly, I wouldn’t know what else to write about. 😉

Follow me if you want to join the fun. I’m HERE.
