Star Castle: Remake of the Month

A few days ago I recieved the latest issue of Retro Gamer Magazine and imagine my surprise when I turned to page 102 and saw that my version of Star Castle had been nominated ‘Remake of the Month’. Cool, that’s the second time. Well, not the second time for Star Castle obviously – last time was Omega Race 2009. 🙂

Remake of the Month

New game completed: Star Castle

I mentioned before Christmas that I would have a new game ready before the end of the year, and here it is – a remake of that old Cinematronics vector graphics classic ‘Star Castle‘.

I originally started this game right after Christmas 2009 and worked on it for about 3 weeks before I got distracted by something else, so the game has been on hold for 11 months, but I thought that now was the time to finally finish it.

I hope you like the finished game…I’m sure you will if you like glowy shooters. 🙂

Please leave some feedback or send me a mail if you like it, or if there’s things you feel could be improved.

Finished: The Night Before Christmas

Just three days later than I’d hoped for (but at least still before Christmas ;)) I’m happy to present my latest game called ‘The Night Before Christmas‘.

It’s not a remake but instead an original game inspired by several retrogames – especially  ‘Elevator Action‘…although it plays quite differently. It’s what I call ‘a quickie’ so development has only taken a little under a month, but it’s really festive and I hope you will find it fun to play. It starts pretty easy, but soon becomes very frantic.

Download it here, or click here to read more about the game and how it’s played.

Finished: Binary Land

Yay…finally. I’ve finished a game. The first of 2010. 🙂

I’ve remade Binary Land, which is a remake of a 1985 Nintendo NES game, for a competition over at the GLBasic site.

The download, as well as more information on the game, is available here.
