A few more updates coming.

Hey there. I thought I’d round off the month with some exciting news. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m currently working on updates forย the 3 games I made in 2008 – Zektor, Space Fury & Dingo.

Well, the Windows versions are done. I think I want to play them a little more to make sure everything is as it should be, but so far they behave as they should. I think I should have them out sometime later this week.

Perhaps, even more exciting, is the news that they’ll will also be available for the Mac OSX.

Yes, I’ve mentioned I’d do a thing like this, but I just haven’t gotten around to it…until now. I still have a few more kinks to iron out, but Zektor is runing perfectly on my Mac, so I expect to have the other two up and running in no time too. And…that includes online scoring. Yay. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hopefully I can find the time to put Omega Race 2009 through the wringer too, but when these three are done I need a bit of time before I do that.

Anyway, stay tunes – lots of new game (updates) coming real soon. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Star Castle updated to v1.1

Almost two months since my last update. Not good. Well, here’s a bit of news to show you that I haven’t been completely laid back. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’ve updated Star Castle to v.1.1
I haven’t touched the gameplay in this version, but I’ve added joystick/joypad support (let me know how it works for you), a pure line mode (non-glowing graphics) and adjustable amount of glow on the graphics if you’re playing the original “neon-mode”. Oh, and there’s a new and more pleasing (imho) backdrop too. Grab it here.

X-Quest 2
This is what I’ve been working on the last month and I’m making really good progress on this title. I have no new screenshots to show as I’ve only been working on the gameplay and not the graphics – so it mostly looks the same as earlier. I hope to find someone to redo the all graphics for me, but if not I’ll be doing them myself, but either way – it’ll have all new graphics before it’s released. I can’t tell you when that’ll be…but it’ll happen. ๐Ÿ˜‰

The iPhone?
I had an idea for an iPhone game yesterday. Not a remake but something original. Well…not original original – more like a mishmash of existing games, but it’ll be fun to make…and hopefully to play too. I’ll start prototyping stuff for it, but for now I’m concentrating my finishing my current PC remake wips.

New old WIP: Star Castle

I made three games in 2008, three games in 2009 and since I’ll be trying to finish some of my current WIP’s instead of constantly starting new ones, I know I’ll make (at least) three games in 2011, but for a moment I was worrying if I would be able to finish as many games in 2010. Silly really – as no ones telling me I should absolutely release that many games a year, but once you get an idea into your head it can be hard to forget it. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Luckily I had an almost finished remake of the old Atari vector graphics game, Star Castle – from 1980, knocking around, that I decided I could easily finish before the year is over, so that’ll be my third and final game this year.

Yay. ๐Ÿ™‚

So, stay tuned for one more game before the year is over – this time a nice and glowy space-shooter. ๐Ÿ™‚

Finished: The Night Before Christmas

Just three days later than I’d hoped for (but at least still before Christmas ;)) I’m happy to present my latest game called ‘The Night Before Christmas‘.

It’s not a remake but instead an original game inspired by several retrogames – especiallyย  ‘Elevator Action‘…although it plays quite differently. It’s what I call ‘a quickie’ so development has only taken a little under a month, but it’s really festive and I hope you will find it fun to play. It starts pretty easy, but soon becomes very frantic.
